Richard is a professional civil and structural engineer BSc(Eng) MICE MIStructE with over forty years' experience of designing and managing major commercial projects for clients including Sainsburys, Amazon, DHL and Prologis. He is the former Chief Executive of Architects and Consulting Engineers Burks Green Ltd and for the last seven years has been involved in successful development projects, developing a reputation for high-quality houses on difficult sites, often involving complex planning issues.
James graduated in Business & Marketing from Leeds Metropolitan University before gaining a Masters in Property and Investment Marketing from Nottingham Trent University. He has worked within the regeneration and development team of the East Midlands Development Agency before joining the Savills commercial agency and auction team in Nottingham. He then went to work for FHP within the agency team for 8 years as an Associate Director specialising in the marketing acquisition and disposal of offices, investments and student residential opportunities across the East Midlands.
Richard graduated from London University (UCL) before becoming a marketing specialist working for clients including Barclays, Boots and Jessops. He was a joint owner of a successful marketing firm, giving him a sound footing in business administration and cost control. This, coupled with experience as a developer, made him well placed to join North Sands and commit to this passion full time. Richard is responsible for programme, cost and quality control, ensuring that each job comes in on time and on budget with full warranty cover.
